Each piece is influenced by nature, especcially the beaches and forests of Upper Michigan.  Each piece is hand-crafted in their studio in Calumet, MI.

The silver on all pieces is hand hammered, formed and forged.  Many pieces have forms reminiscent of waves lapping at the shore I see on early morning walks along the beaches.  All the basalt pebbles are collected locally on the magnificent beaches along the shores of Lake Superior, now part of her adult playground.

Julie writes, "I have known ever since I was a child, growning up on the shores of Lake Superior in the Upper Michigan, that I would work with my hands.  The decision was solidfied when I took my first metals class at Northern Michigan University in .... well let's just say it's been a few years.  It has been my passion ever since.  The journey has taken me to both Vail, and Ft. Collins, Colorado, and back to the UP, where I currently reside and maintain my studio.  I'm fortunate to live my passion on a daily basis."
